Our Mission Statement

Loving, Serving and Growing Together with Jesus

Our mission statement underpins all our activities as we endeavour to live the message of the Gospels by:

  • Creating an environment in which pupils are inspired to reach the highest standards of academic and individual achievement, bearing in mind the emotional and wellbeing needs of each individual.
  • Developing a loving, caring community which recognises and celebrates the unique God given nature of each Individual.
  • Enhancing the Catholic life of the school and providing children and families with a positive experience of being a valued part of a Catholic community
  • Ensuring that all available resources are directed to our core objectives of providing the best education for and safety of our pupils and staff.

You can read about some of the ways in which our children live our mission statement by visiting the CAFOD blog link below:

Our School Logo:

The rosary, which encompasses our logo, reminds us of St Bernadette’s love for Our Lady – a love that embraces our school. The background is divided into three segments to represent the three parishes we primarily serve:

  • Christ the King, Kents Hill
  • Our Lady of Lourdes, based at St Paul's Catholic School, Leadenhall
  • St Mary’s, Woburn Sands

Our school colours of claret and navy are incorporated into the design, together with light blue, the colour that is traditionally associated with Our Lady.

Our School Song

Our children wrote the lyrics to our school song - 'We are St Bernadette's'. The words capture perfectly what it means to be part of our school family.

Some of our Year 5 and Year 6 children have learned the signs for our school song - why not join in with them?
